You will have no doubt come across many businesses in the wedding industry claiming to be a luxury business and this can be interpreted in various ways. For me, being a luxury wedding cake designer is not about being over the top, exuberant or lavish, it's about the finer details....it's the perfect finish on your wedding cake, the peace of mind from knowing you have booked a reliable company with a wealth of experience and knowledge so they can curate your dream wedding cake design with ease, it's having mastered the art of creating ultra realistic sugar flowers that will amaze your guests, it's never having to worry if you will turn up to a disaster on your wedding day because you know everything is perfectly in hand, it's about using the finest ingredients because you deserve the very best. Lets not forget the unrivalled level of service either, this is just as important as having a beautiful cake and from 2022 I am taking very limited bookings to allow me to work more exclusively with each couple - this means your very important wedding cake gets my utmost attention, it will never be rushed! I am focussing fully on quality over quantity.
Absolutely - I am always striving to be more environmentally friendly. Please read more about our sustainability efforts below.
Please do read through the pricing page as there is further information on there, various factors affect pricing such as size, intricacy of design, amount of sugar flowers, flavours and distance to venue. Please note we have a minimum order value of £750 between April and October.
As soon as possible, because I take on a limited amount of bookings my diary does fill quite quickly. For summer bookings I would recommend booking at least 18 months ahead, we may be able to accommodate at less notice though. Please use our contact page to check availability.
From 2022 I will be limiting the amount of clients I take on and will be creating just 4 or 5 wedding cakes PER MONTH. Some designers choose to do this many each week....however, for me to be able to offer a truly superior service I believe it is imperative to work more exclusively with each couple. I do my absolute best work if concentrating on fewer wedding cakes, this means you and your cake will have my fullest attention.
Absolutely! If you want to make your cake into a beautiful centrepiece I would definitely recommend this, after investing so carefully in your wedding cake its almost a shame not to! Draping table runners, elegant cake stands and candles turn a drab, plain clothed table into something far more eye catching. Gorgeous dressing tables, floral pillars, arches or hoop stands are also a fabulous way to elevate your wedding cake display or we also hire clear plinths that looks stunning with a floral skirt around the base of the cake. The possibilities are endless so lets get creative!
No, that's very true! You are paying for a one of a kind, bespoke item for the most important day of your lives - if you are booking a luxury wedding cake designer then your cake has been expertly baked from scratch using the finest ingredients by someone with first class baking and decorating skills. The biggest cost in a wedding cake is actually paying for someones time and expertise and this is where costs will vary between wedding cake designers....expect to pay more for a luxury cake designer with a considerable level of skill and particularly if they have won awards. My pricing is higher than most to reflect my superior quality and extensive experience; I have trained with some of the worlds best sugar florists and most influential cake designers, I have fine tuned my skills through years of practice, I have won multiple awards and been featured in dozens of wedding blogs and magazines, not to mention my exclusive level of service ensuring your wedding cake is exceptional in every way.
Yes of course, choosing your cake flavours is one of the most enjoyable parts and giving your guests more choice means there will always be something there to suit everyone.
Yes, all wedding cakes are delivered to your venue on the day of the wedding. I do not allow collection of any wedding cakes. Imagine if your cake is collected by someone who doesn't have experience in transporting, carrying and setting up a wedding cake - it could easily end in disaster. It is far safer to have a professional cake designer to take care of this for you. You can then relax on your wedding day knowing your cake will be waiting for you exactly as you intended.
I would prefer to make something entirely unique for you as a couple, something that best represents your style and personalities and that has been carefully designed to fit in with your wedding day. Also, the person who can best recreate a particular design will be the original cake maker. However, I often encourage couples to save ideas if they have seen any particular elements or styling from a cake they have fallen in love with and we can use this as inspiration towards creating their own bespoke design.
Yes, I have a large selection of cake stands that can be hired for £20. If your wedding cake is being delivered to Worksop, Nottingham, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Derbyshire or surrounding areas within East Midlands or Yorkshire I can set up your cake on one of our cake stands. I would just ask the stand is returned to me in Worksop within 5 days. I can also offer hire on larger floral hoop stands or plinths. Wedding venues will often have flat silver stands to hire or may even include one as part of your package....however, they may not always be in the best condition or complement a more contemporary cake design. Using a pedestal cake stand gives extra height and adds elegance. I can work with your wedding planner, stylist and florist to make sure the cake area is styled beautifully to create a stunning centrepiece for your wedding day.
Unfortunately as our kitchen handles many allergens we cannot offer cakes for allergy suffers (we may be able to adapt recipes for mild intolerances but cannot guarantee a 100% 'free from' cake, we recommend you use a specialist bakery for those circumstances).
No, unfortunately we do not specialise in these type of bakes.
No, we do not offer this service. Our insurance will only cover us for cakes we have baked in our own kitchen that has been inspected by the local council and given a 5* hygiene rating.
We do offer buttercream cakes but only between October and mid March when the weather is cooler (fondant cakes are much more stable in warmer weather).
Absolutely, all love is beautiful and everyone is very welcome!
